SCMS Cochin School of Business offers AICTE-approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) that has been designed keeping students’ requirements and goals in mind. The program is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), India and ACBSP, USA.
The program caters to students who aspire to ascend in the world of business and industry and have the ability to change and adapt to its dynamic requirements.B-School students are expected to demonstrate academic excellence, have business and entrepreneurial acumen, and decision-making and leadership qualities in order to pursue a rewarding career in management.
The Tuition Fee for full-time PGDM programme is Rs 1,25,000/- per trimester. This is to be remitted by the students at the beginning of each trimester or when notified. All categories of fees are to be paid at the beginning of every trimester, irrespective of the time spent away from the campus on project or other assignments. Refer to the page on Rules and Regulations in the prospectus for other categories of fees.
Candidates applying for the PGDM full-time programmewith more than two years’ of work experience in reputed companies are eligible to apply for merit scholarship of upto a maximum of 40% of tuition fees.

The following weightage is given during final selection of candidates:
All registered students are eligible for identity cards and it is issued on payment of Rs. 500/- in the first instance. A fee of Rs. 1500/- will be charged for reissue of an identity card. An amount of Rs.1500/- will be deducted from the caution deposit if the card is not surrendered at the end of the course.
Fees have to be paid on the dates indicated in the Academic Calendar (refer Manual of Policies), failing which a fine of Rs 500 and re-admission fee of Rs 1000 would be levied. Students who fail to pay the fee with the fine and re-admission fee on or before the re-admission date will not be permitted to attend classes from the following day, till the dues are cleared, for which period they will suffer loss of attendance.
All students are required to pay Rs. 250/- at the time of admission towards medical insurance during the currency of the programme.
A sum of Rs.15000/- per trimester is to be paid along with regular tuition fee to cover part of the expenses.
All students are required to pay Rs 10,000/- each to cover the cost of brochure and other expenses for placements. This is a one-time fee payable along with fourth trimester tuition fee.
Examination fee of Rs500/- per papershould be remitted along with the examination application of each trimester/semester.
Alumni Fee of Rs1500 and Diploma Fee ofRs500 is to be paid along with trimester VI examination fee.
An amount of Rs 7500/- is payable towards the Outbound training programme.
All students are required to deposit Rs 10,000 towards general caution deposit and Rs 10,000 towards hostel caution deposit, at the time of admission. These amounts will be refunded on completion of the course after deducting dues to the institution and damages, if any.
Being a non-funded self-financing institution we strictly follow the AICTE directive in this matter.
Students are permitted to avail of part system to complete the examination. In addition to the first chance, they will be given only two consecutive chances to clear all the papers of a trimester. Thereafter, their names will be removed from the rolls of the School irrespective of their performance in other trimester examinations. Part appearance is not permitted in the first chance of any trimester examination.
Any student can face removal from the rolls if he or she is found violating regulations in spite of warning. Major misconduct can result in summary removal.
Ragging is strictly prohibited. Ragging in any form is a serious crime under the Indian Laws. Any case of ragging or other related offence will be reported to the police for taking appropriate action. The erring student will also be summarily dismissed from the College.
Jurisdiction for legal disputes on any matter detailed in this prospectus or related to studies at the institution will be limited to courts in Ernakulam, where the institution is established and the cause of action took place.
